Next on our stop of our travels in France is the palace of Versailles!
This massive gold drenched palace surrounded by it's expansive and intricate gardens really take your breath away. The amount of human talent, imagination, and work that went into creating this place ( and maintaining it) just really blew my mind. Every inch of the palace uncovered more and more beautiful rooms, paintings, and sculptures. (Also let's be honest King Louis XVI was pretty obsessed with himself. 😂) It was so interesting to get a glimpse into the lavish lives of the kings and queens that lived in the palace but also all the people behind the scenes who worked really hard to make this place so beautiful.
After we explored the palace, we went on a stroll through the gardens. (And by stroll I mean miles because you don't realize how enormous this place is until you go there. 😂) As we walked the gardens with classical music playing in the background we felt like we were transported back in time. Seriously. It felt like we were guests at some royal ball taking a stroll in the Kings gardens, all I was missing was a massive ball gown. :D
Hope you're all having an extravagant weekend!!! 😉
Love & Blessings,
A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of taking engagement photos for this beautiful couple! We chose Lake Ellyn for our location and it was the same place that Tom proposed to Erin which made it oh so special! Even though it was over 90 degrees and humid that evening we got some of the first fall colors of the season. These two braved the heat and looked so good!
It's always so rewarding for me to being able to capture the love between two people! How cute are these two together?? I'm so excited to photograph their wedding this summer! I already know it will be so beautiful.
Have a lovely lovely day everyone!
