One of the most important things we wanted for our reception was that people have a ton of fun!! Both of us love dancing the night away, and that's what we wanted for our guests. We tried not to get caught up in the decorations as much as just throwing a really big, awesome party! From what people tell us.. I think we succeeded. :) For the decor we were going for simplicity. I mean let's face it, years after your wedding your guests are going to remember whether or not they had a good time, not what color the flowers were.
Overall we wanted a warm, inviting atmosphere. Rustic, romantic, but not too over the top! We diyed a lot of the decor for the hall, let's just say gold spray paint was our good friend during this process... ;) Mario cut the wooden planks for the tables, I created a lot of the signs and the seating chart, we took apart an old guitar for the guestbook... For our favors, we bought a whole lot of coffee and filled cute burlap bags with it. We saved a lot of money by creating most of the decor on our own, and I feel it gave the place a relaxed and personal touch.
The night was wonderful. One huge party, with all the people we love, celebrating our marriage. I danced till I could barely walk, and I was completely okay with that. :)
Our wedding day will forever be one of the best days of our lives, first and foremost because of the Sacrament we received on that day and one we will have with us forever in Marriage. But also it was a huge joyous celebration with many wonderful people. I can't believe it's all over, I would love to relive it again! Thankfully we will always be able to look back on these moment through photos and video. :)
Happy Tuesday!!! Stay tuned for our highlight video!
Lots of love,
