Hope you're all having a great week so far. :) I'm finally sharing some photos from our summer travels! I decided that I will be posting weekly blogs from each of the cities we visited and then after that I'll start posting blogs about our journey on the Camino de Santiago.
So to start off I wanted to introduce you to my favorite city EVER. The city whose charm and atmosphere is unlike any other city we've visited. The city that always feels like home. The city that I will keep coming back to time and time again and never get bored. Welcome to Krakow, Poland.
Being the second largest cities in Poland, and one of the oldest, it's history dates back to the 7th century. Every street corner you turn opens you up to new stories from the past. The main square is the biggest medieval market square in all of Europe. There you can find an array of different artisian vendors, street performers, delicious food, and cozy coffee shops. The main square is only a small part of what makes Krakow so special. Once you go exploring the many small cobblestone streets around you'll come across some of the most beautiful historic churches. You might wander into the old Jewish quarter, Kazimierz, full of life, culture, and history. If you keep going along the river Wisla, you'll come across the majestic Wawel castle built in the 13th and 14th centuries, and if you're lucky you might even see the wawel dragon breathing fire. I could keep going on and on about how incredible Krakow is and all the things that make it so special. But to really experience the atmosphere of Krakow, you just have to visit yourself. I already can't wait to go back!
I've never lived in Krakow before but always wished I could. Having family there we visit quite regularly, we try to stop there at least once on every trip. During our summer travels Poland in general became our "home base". A place to do laundty, repack, recollect, regroup, and relax with family and friends. We are so thankful to have had a place we could call home for the 4 months of our hectic travel schedule. From Krakow, to Tarnow our families hosted us so kindly and made us feel welcome after every tiring trip. <3
Thanks for reading & have a lovely day! :)
After an almost 5 month absence we are back! We have been traveling around the world all summer and even though I thought I'd be able to blog, our hectic travel schedule didn't really allow the time for it. But I'm so so excited to get back into it and share our adventures from the past 4 months with you!
I wanted to start by sharing a spring engagement session I had the privilege of shooting before we left for our travels. I got to photograph this lovely couple on the backdrop of white picket fences, spring blooms, the setting sun, and a super cute vintage bicycle. :)
We are now back in business and I am booking sessions for Fall. :) The golden shades of autumn make for the perfect backdrop and it's my most favorite time of year! Let me know if you are interested.
It's good to be back! Have a great weekend everyone. :)
